Tim: Tim Justice from Tackle Trading and I’m here with a brand new idea i just had Tyler you’re my first guinea pig How you doin brother
Tyler: I’m doing good Tim I’m excited I like being guinea pigs
Tim: I woke Tyler up from a nap and I told him I said Tyler I wanna record a video you gotta turn on your webcam and he’s like “Wait…What? What’s going on here” and I have this idea I’m gonna do this every time With the same traders I wanna interview traders Tyler. I’ve known you for a long time you’re one of my old friends. When did we meet? In like 2005 probably
Tyler: Probably 06
Tim: Yeah that’s probably 13 14 years ago and we’ve had many of the same teachers and mentors and we’ve done this for a long time. You’re a coach at Tackle Trading I know you really well. I’ve got 5 questions for you man, Okay? You Ready?
Tyler: Let’s Do it
Tim: Alright, K Number one Why did you get into trading?
Tyler: My whys change over time My first why is I was 21 I wanted to make money it was good money. That’s why.
Tim: Nothing wrong with that you know at 21 years old obviously financial incentives are there, Why do you stay in trading? Follow up not part of my five questions by the way. Name me one be
Tyler: Sure. Cause everybody makes money and nobody knows what to do with it and so it’s kind of I love the fact that I getta teach something that I can use with my own life..Right
Tim: I love it. I love it. What is your trading edge?
Tyler: Recognising what I’m good at and what I’m not good at and not being ashamed to say i suck at that I’m not doing it
Tim: Mhm, so you feel like you have like real discipline at like identifying your strengths and weaknesses as a person and then following through on that
Tyler: Yeah I feel like there are so many different ways to trade it’s so hard if you don’t decide what’s your lane and sticking to it. Because You always get distracted With other things especially because of social media and so I think just picking a lane and saying this is what I’m good at and not be too distracted is I think is a good skill I got
Tim: Question number Three and I actually think now it’s five but I had 1.a 1.b 2.a 2.b. Question three, What’s your daily routine?
Tyler: I wake up early, I write on The Most Creative in the morning as far as trading I look at the futures, the market opens I assess my open positions follow my plan look for new trades journal play around that’s it
Tim: I love it. I love it and part of that is to play your favorite video game which is why I think you have that headset on right
Tyler: That’s right. I gotta get some Destiny in there. That’s right. My wife loves that part of my day
Tim: That’s great, Number 4 is what is your trading goals for the future it could be Financials System, Community, Content it could be anything. What are your trading goals?
Tyler: I think to continue with what I have, Tim everybody wants to improve id love to create that Holy grail system that works all the time but it just doesn’t exist. I’m gonna say execute my systems with precision. because even traders that have been trading for a decade are still humans we still get that itch to tinker with something that’s already good and so just continuing my ability to execute those systems with precision i think is a good way of saying it
Tim: Last one and we’ve got a veteran trader here. Tyler Craig has been in the market for what 13 14 years now. An educator, mentor content creator, coach, system developer a damn right good guy is what I always say. Tyler what advice would you give a new trader right off the turnip truck.
Tyler: Just never give up, you’ve got forever you’ve got decades you don’t have to master this in a month. You’re going to get money to the extent you use it and being efficient with it it’s a skill worth acquiring. Whether it takes you six months or three years once you’ve got it you can use it for decades to come never lose sight of the long run
Tim: Awesome and Tyler I know you have a mastermind group tonight good luck with that and have some fun with that. You teach a system called the cashflow condors one of my favorites as well thanks for all you do for Tackle Trading And thanks for all you do for our community and you think this works? Y’know this is our first time. This is my first one
Tyler: This was amazing, This was amazing The key is to make sure that they had a nap right beforehand That way the inspiration is fresh haven’t been fighting with kids or anything they are on point I love it
Tim: I like it. Alright brother very good and everybody out there gets in the game tackletrading.com
Tyler: Thanks Guys
